THE DEVELOPMENT OF FACE  The face develops from 5 swellings that form around the primitive mouth (stomodeum). single  fronotonasal process  paired maxillary process  paired mandibular process  FRONTONASAL  processes forms:    forehead ,external nose,nasal cavity,nasal septum and philtrum of lip.   MAXILLARY process forms : lateral parts of upper lip and upper part of cheek MANDIBULAR process forms : lower lip and lower part of cheek . CLINICAL ANATOMY : CLEFT LIP AND CLEFT PALATE
